SHORELINE SOCIALS

New Event Series for 2025!

What’s a “Shoreline Social”?

Put simply it’s an informal gathering hosted by one of our members at their home for our other members and friends. It’s a casual way to enjoy the lakes while getting to know our waterfront neighbors.

How does it work?

A volunteer host gives us a date, time, group type (adults only or families), and the number of guests they want to accommodate (rain or shine). YLA will then send out an invite and post the information on our website with the details and the lake location of the event. We’ll also set up an RSVP form to limit the number of guests.

Once the guest list is set we’ll send out the address and host contact details to only the confirmed guests.

The host will supply the venue, paper plates, cups, and napkins. Guests will bring their own beverages (BYOB) and an appetizer or dessert dish to share.

Why is YLA adding this event?

We have been looking for ways to increase membership value and to build community along the waterfront. One of our committee members shared this style of gathering that has been successful in another lake community. We are excited to see how it develops among our members.

UPCOMING SOCIALS

Each Shoreline Social is identified by the lake where the host lives. Once we have the guest list set, we’ll send out an invitation for that specific event with an address and contact information for the host.
